ABOUT
Tyler J. Hagenbuch
Tyler was born and raised on a family farm in rural Illinois. His early career included time in the music business, law school at Vanderbilt, and two years as a litigator at Latham & Watkins.
When he eventually set his sights on political law and voting rights, his decade-plus career kicked off as an attorney in the Chicago headquarters of President Obama’s successful 2012 reelection campaign. From there he joined the Perkins Coie Political Law Group, eventually becoming counsel and then partner. When the Political Law Group spun off and formed the Elias Law Group in 2021, he became one of the original founding partners of the nation’s largest mission-driven law firm.
As a political and election law attorney, Tyler has advised the nation’s most prominent elected officials (including Hillary Clinton’s and President Biden’s presidential campaigns), largest and most innovative companies, and leading nonprofit organizations and business leaders. As a counselor in this high-stakes, high-profile arena, Tyler provides accessible analysis and practical solutions to help his clients meet their electoral, civic engagement, and philanthropic goals.
In his capacity as a consultant in the social impact and strategic philanthropy space, Tyler helps clients meet the moment by creating civic engagement and social impact solutions that move the needle and make a difference in people's lives.
